Honorable Mr. Zhao Tongfan , Ladies and gentlemen，
Good morning!
I am Yue Lige and I am the Party branch secretary and principal of No. 6 Middle School of Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone.
I started working on Model United Nations projects with Mr. Yu Haiyang and Miss Liu Jieyu in 2009. We were among the first group of teachers trained in New York in 2009 and we took the first group of students to have our Model United Nations meeting in New York in 2010. And I think all of the teachers and students had wonderful precious memories from that experience.
Fourteen years has passed. MUN activities have had a profound impact on those students. Because of the MUN activities, they have a clearer understanding of why they want to study, how to study, what to learn. They study hard with the vision of the world master and go to top universities both at home and abroad. The MUN activities and debate activities have endowed them with leadership demeanor, critical thinking and world vision.And they are now contributing their wisdom and efforts to realize the modernization in various important fields of our motherland.
Boys and girls, debating is an essential skill in the process of MUN activities. Participating in it can cultivate your teamwork, logical thinking, language expression, and organizational skills, as well as enabling you to think social problems and phenomena more thoroughly. I admire the courage, wisdom and perseverance of all the students who are sitting here today. It is not easy for children of your age to participate in English Debate. No matter what the result of today's competition may be, I am sure that you will definitely grow up throughout the process!
Here, I would like to say to all the leaders and teachers present today that we should be proud of promoting the development of this activity, because we have opened up a new track for the growth of students and poured new strength into their life!
Every Boy and girl here, I think we should be thankful to Henan Youth Education Research Center, our school leaders, our tutors and leading teachers. We should be thankful to them for their wisdom, vision as well as their efforts to promote MUN activities!
I went to No. 6 Middle School of Zhengzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone to serve as the Party branch secretary and principal on April 26, 2023. In September 2023, we established the Model United Nations Club in our school, which currently has 31 members. Today 8 of them are sitting here. As the principal, I am proud of them. And I would like to cheer for Tian Siyan, Xu Xinyuan, Zhao Jiani, Cao Jintai, Chang Haoran, Meng Yixuan, Weng Yuming, and Wu Ziqing and I wish you to enjoy the process of today's competition and harvest the power of continuous growth!
